Finding your perfect fit

Finding the right bra size is tricky without the added complication of unpredictable pregnancy boobs. We understand your struggle, and we are here to help.

Here are a few handy tips:

We recommend ordering as close to your due date as possible (later in your third trimester) to get more familiar with the changes in your chest and breast size. The first two trimesters aren’t always a good gauge for the size you’ll be towards the end of your pregnancy and postpartum.

Use your usual bra size (pre-pregnancy) to find your way to your BABRA equivalent. And chuck away the measuring tape – you have enough to deal with getting on that scale every time you visit your Gynae.

Consider both your band size and your cup size:

  • If your bra closes on the biggest setting and feels too tight (or if it doesn’t close at all), go up a chest size.
  • Check your cup, if it’s full and there’s no room for growth, aka your milk coming in, go up a cup size. You don’t want any breast tissue bulging under your arms or spilling out the top. After all, you’re breastfeeding, not going to an audition for Baywatch!

Ever heard about a sister size?

Did you know that a 32B and 34B is not the same? Yup, identifying your sister size can be especially helpful if you find that neither your cup nor band fit properly.

Here’s how it works (it only sounds more complicated than it is):

  • Go up a band size if your band is too tight, but go down a cup size.
  • The same rule applies in the reverse if your band is too loose: go down a band size, but go up a cup size.
  • So, for example, if you’re a 34C, your sister sizes are 32D and 36B.

Still worried?
