BABRA is a passion project that was inspired by my personal experience after the birth of my first child.
Channelling my inner Carrie Bradshaw, I embarked on a mission to find a nursing bra that perfectly blended fashion and functionality. Yet, to my dismay, I couldn’t find a South African brand that resonated with my desire for a trendy and sassy vibe. The options available seemed basic and boring, failing to capture the excitement and ooh la la I craved. I longed for a bra that would make both me and my hubby go, “Damn, mama!”
And that’s when it hit me – I had discovered a unique gap in the market that I was determined to fill. With unwavering determination, I joined forces with a local designer, and together, we set out to create something extraordinary – a bralette that radiated confidence, allure, and the perfect fusion of comfort and style. My mission was clear: challenge the notion that caring for your baby meant sacrificing your fashion sense. With BABRA, I wanted to empower mothers to express their individual style, to look and feel incredible, and to effortlessly embody the essence of a super mum.
But BABRA is more than just a nursing bra – it is a celebration of my deep love for art and design. It embodies the beauty that can be achieved through artistic expression, and each piece tells a story.
